🌿WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR REIKI SESSION🌿

A simple guide to help you feel comfortable, informed, and open to your experience.

A Reiki practitioner does not heal you directly. We offer a supportive space and channel, a vibration that represents a healed state. If you choose to connect with and mirror that state within yourself, you are the one who creates your own healing

The practitioner holds the space, and opens the door, your inner self does the rest over time.

This Is Your Session

Your Reiki session is a space created for you. Before we begin, you are encouraged to share anything you would like support with or an intention you would like to bring into the session, This might be abundance, confidence, emotional balance, releasing stress, clarity, grounding, relationships, or simply feeling more at peace. There is no need to have a specific intention, you can also simply be open to receiving. You can also bring special items with you! Anything that will assist you in feeling at ease. Many clients love wearing comfy loose clothing (you can also change, there is a private bathroom for your to use)

You will be invited to get comfortable, usually lying down. Reiki is gentle and non-invasive. You remain fully clothed, and you are always welcome to speak up, change position, or ask questions at any time.

What the Practitioner May Do

Depending on the session and your comfort level, the practitioner may place their hands gently on or just above different areas of the body. You may also be invited to identify areas you would like extra attention given to. You can always request hands-off Reiki or ask that any area be skipped.

Breathing & Energy Release

You may hear the practitioner take deeper, intentional breaths, sigh, yawn, or make other natural breathing sounds. These can be part of the practitioner's own grounding and energy-release process and are not something you need to copy or respond to.

During your Session

You may drift into a meditative or sleep-like state. Your body may twitch or your breathing may change naturally, you may snore! You might laugh, cry, feel emotional, anything that rises is supposed to happen let it flow and never feel embarrassed. Our bodies can do strange things while the healing process begins.

Everyone experiences Reiki differently. You may notice warmth or coolness, tingling, pulsing, heaviness or lightness, deep relaxation, emotional release, vivid thoughts or memories, a sense of movement, or simply nothing noticeable. There is no “right” way to experience Reiki.

Remember: Reiki is a personal experience. You do not need to force yourself to feel anything, interpret every sensation, or “do” anything perfectly. Simply get comfortable, breathe naturally, and allow yourself to receive, and sink in to the safe space created just for you.

After Reiki

Take your time getting up. You may feel relaxed, energized, emotional, sleepy, clear-headed, or simply like yourself. Make sure to drink some water and give yourself a little quiet time if possible, these sessions are meant to open the gateway to your energy fields, to allow your body to self heal over time.

YOUR COMFORT, CONSENT & VOICE MATTER

You are in control of your session. You can say “yes,” “no,” “not there,” “hands off,” or “please stop” at any time
